Prayerfully Consider Becoming a Hospice Volunteer. . .

Prayerfully consider becoming a Hospice Volunteer.  Home Hospice of HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital which serves Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls and surrounding communities is offering a free-of-charge Hospice Volunteer Training Program.  The training will be held at St. Joseph's Hospital, McDonald Conference Hall on Saturdays, April 25 and May 2 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (lunch provided).  Both sessions are required for the training.

Volunteers from all walks of life-both male and female are needed (males are especially encouraged to attend).  HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital Home Hospice provides a sensitive support system for the terminally ill patient and family, enabling them to have dignity and quality of life.  The Hospice Volunteer gives comfort and support by offering respite care for family caregivers and companionship for the patient.

Undecided about becoming a Hospice Volunteer?  You are encouraged to attend the training.  After completing the sessions, you can decide whether to become a Hospice Volunteer.  Even if you decide not to volunteer, you will find the experience in attending the training program to be valuable in your personal life.  Pre-registration is required by Monday, April 20.  Call HSHS St. Joseph's Home Hospice (715-717-7395) to register.
