Here are some of the ways in which you can support Sherman Elementary School students, teachers, and staff with First Lutheran:

Stock Library Shelves - Stop in once a week, once a month, or twice a year. Julie Mykowski , Sherman Librarian will take your help in the library whenever you can help out.

Read with Children - in the classrooms and during library time.

Learning Centers - Volunteers help with writing, reading, word work, and art activities. All stations are organized and prepared.

Donations for a Child - Children's needs continually surface. Typical needs include shoes, boots, winter coats and lunch money. (Assistance will be requested for specific needs.)

Donations for the School - Please drop off all items in the "Sherman Elementary" bin at the bottom of the stairs by First's elevator:

  • Gently worn sweatpants boys and girls size 4 - 12
  • New underwear boys and girls size 4 - 10
  • Legos
  • Games - Trouble, Connect Four, Yatzee, Apples to Apples, etc…
  • Hats, Gloves & Mittens
  • School Supplies
  • Kleenex and Hand Sanitizer
  • Shopko Gift Cards - Please forward to church office

10 Simple Ways to Save Money for Sherman Elementary - Please place collected items in the “Sherman” bin located at the bottom of the stairs by First’s elevator.
