Worship Times
Sunday 8:00 a.m. Traditional Worship in First Lutheran’s sanctuary

This worship style honors our liturgical heritage. We worship God through traditional liturgy and hymns as found in the worship guidebook and hymnal, Evangelical Lutheran Worship. Holy Communion is also served each week and is open and available to all. This service also provides opportunities for worship leadership as cantor and liturgist, as well as ringing in the handbell choir.
Sunday 9:30 a.m. Emerging Worship in First Lutheran’s sanctuary
Emerging worship is informal, engaging, and relevant to the ways God is moving in our culture today. We seek to create a unique and interactive worship experience each week where we may fully encounter the living God in our midst. Worship is led by our Emerging Worship Team and includes weekly Holy Communion for all wishing to receive it.
Sunday 11:00 a.m. Amazing Grace Worship in First Lutheran’s sanctuary
Amazing Grace is a Synodically Authorized Worshipping Community that holds its worship within the facility of First Lutheran Church. The people of Amazing Grace hold membership in another ELCA congregation but use this facility for the purposes of worship and discernment. Amazing Grace invites all people to join them for worship. This worship style is firmly grounded in the Lutheran tradition, using the liturgical settings found in the Evangelical Lutheran Worship book. This service provides opportunities for involvement in choral choir and handbell choir.
Wednesday 4:30 p.m. Prayer Service in First Lutheran’s chapel

At the close of the day, the Spirit calls us out of time marked by daylight and darkness, measured by clocks and calendars, and gathers us into time welling up from the past, widening toward the future, and welcoming eternity. Each Wednesday afternoon during CONNECTIONS, we gather for a peaceful prayer service using the “Unfailing Light” liturgy by Marty Haugen. This service draws upon scripture that evokes eventide, especially in the gathering and sending –our transition from one kind of time to another.
